History
Founded in 1591 by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, Hyderabad rose on the banks of the Musi River as a planned city of culture, trade, and learning. The iconic Charminar stands as a symbol of its origin and vision.
Over the centuries, Hyderabad came under Mughal rule and later flourished as an independent princely state under the Nizams (Asaf Jahi dynasty), who shaped the city into one of the most prosperous and administratively advanced regions of pre-independent India.
In 1948, Hyderabad was integrated into the Indian Union, and in 2014 it became the capital of the newly formed state of Telangana. Today, Hyderabad seamlessly blends its rich heritage with modern innovation, emerging as a global hub for technology, education, and culture.
The city today
Hyderabad stands today as a dynamic city where history and progress coexist. Known for its strong foundations in technology, biotechnology, education, and governance, the city has grown into one of India’s major urban and economic centers.
With a thriving IT corridor, globally recognized startups, and world-class institutions, Hyderabad continues to attract talent from across the country. At the same time, its heritage — reflected in monuments, language, cuisine, and everyday life — remains deeply rooted.
Today, Hyderabad represents a balance of tradition and transformation, evolving continuously while staying connected to its past.

How a City Became a Chapter of My Life

Life in Hyderabad felt like living between timelines, where the past and the present coexisted effortlessly. Mornings began with the rush of traffic, schedules, and responsibilities, reflecting the city’s modern, fast-moving side. As the day unfolded, the pace slowly changed — evenings brought softer lights, familiar routes, quiet tea stalls, and streets that seemed to hold memories far older than the people passing through them. From the glass buildings of Hitec City to the timeless charm of old neighborhoods and monuments, every day carried a sense of contrast that made life there deeply layered.
Living in Hyderabad was more than just staying in a new city; it was a phase of growth and self-discovery. It taught me how to adapt, how to live independently, and how to find comfort in simple routines. Along the way, I found something truly special — friends who became family, the best I’ve ever had. Through late-night food walks, shared laughter, long conversations, and the unmistakable aroma of Hyderabadi biryani, an unfamiliar place slowly turned into home. Even after leaving, Hyderabad remains a significant chapter of my journey — a city that shaped my perspective, strengthened my resilience, and lives on through the memories and people it gave me.
